Framed mirror DIY makeover

Recently I had an old framed mirror on my bedside table fall over. Lucky, the actual looking glass didn't crack but the frame bit the dust. I pondered a revamp, and after a new excuse to break out my ruffler foot on the sewing machine, I came up with a cute Toile shabby chic makeover!

super easy and the script ribbon I hand stamped using Staz On permanent ink and an America The Beautiful text stamp. I ruffled using a 6 meaning every 6th stitch I have a pleat. The ruffle foot is by FAR one of my top ten "must haves" for creative fabric mixed media projects. It's totally worth the $10 cost and the twenty minutes fiddling with learning to attach it & get it going. best of luck! happy saturday! -Kelly
